Jado Kuin Do - Family Martial Arts
Welcome to Jado Kuin Do St Albans, Leighton Buzzard and Deanshanger. I’m Mark Owen-Ward the instructor for these academies.
Health, discipline and fun are some of the main reasons that people study Jado Kuin Do: a martial art created to be a leading self-defence art.
Created by its founder Jake Ogden, Jado Kuin Do takes elements of other martial arts such as Kung Fu and Kickboxing to create a modern day martial art that is adaptive to the needs of its students and pays attention to sports science and exercise physiology. It was developed to be particularly suitable for children and families, hence ‘Family Martial Art’. But it’s also suitable for ambitious adult martial artists looking for a versatile martial art with a strong and well-structured development path. You can find out more about the history and development of Jado Kuin Do at the main WJO website.
We always offer FREE trial lessons to let you try it out for yourself first. You can arrange this by calling 07545 464086 or fill in the contact form. If you decide to sign up, you only commit to us on a month by month basis. (* plus an annual licence fee)
All Jado Kuin Do instructors have undergone training and certification and have trained in Jado Kuin Do themselves for typically three years or more. All attend regular refresher training, are trained First Aiders and are CRB checked. Parents are welcome to sit in the training hall and watch training – and many do.
